Robotmaster

San Diego CAD/CAM, Inc. is now a reseller for Robotmaster.
Robotmaster seamlessly integrates robot programming, simulation and code generation inside Mastercam, delivering quicker robot programming.
Streamlined CAD engine makes design work easier than ever before. Each piece of geometry you create is “live”, letting you quickly modify it until it’s exactly what you want. Traditional functions are consolidated into a few simple clicks to simplify the creation of even the most complex parts.
Create simple or complex robot trajectories accurately without teaching points using Mastercam Mill or Router. The programming of the robot trajectory is done graphically using the same process and tools used for CNC machines, by selecting geometry (lines, arcs, part edges and/or 3D part). Once the geometry is selected, parameter boxes guide the user in making the proper selection of process information. The software automatically generates the robot trajectory based on the above information.

Mastercam for SolidWorks
Mastercam for SolidWorks is fully integrated CAM that runs seamlessly in SolidWorks. SolidWorks users can now program their parts directly within SolidWorks using Mastercam’s industry-leading toolpaths and machining strategies.
Mastercam’s latest release, X2MR2 will also be demonstrated in the booth. Stop by to learn about the Mastercam X2 features including:
-The new Peel Milling toolpath moves the tool in and “peels” away material, layer by layer. The Operations Manager pane can now float to a different area of the graphics window or to a separate screen when you are working with dual monitors. The Create Boundary function greatly expands Mastercam’s toolpath boundary creation, restricting the toolpaths to highly specific areas. Many powerful multiaxis enhancements are included in the advanced multiaxis toolpaths. Common edge optimization in nesting is now supported.

Tech Tip

Mastercam Tech Tip
Q: How do I convert parts that have been created with other programs?
A: Mastercam X makes it easy to convert and use parts that have been created with other CAD/CAM programs or saved in common formats.
* When you open a file that has been saved in a supported format, Mastercam automatically runs the proper conversion program and converts the file. Use the standard File, Open command just like you do for a Mastercam part file. * To export Mastercam part files to a different format, choose File, Save As and select the desired format. * Set conversion preferences and save them to your .config file. Choose Settings, Configuration, Converters from the menu. Mastercam uses these settings when it automatically converts files.
You can also override your saved conversion settings whenever you open or save to a supported format. When you select the desired format in the File, Open or File, Save As dialog boxes, you will see an additional Options button. Click it to set conversion options for just that file. (You will not see the button if no conversion options are available for that format.)
Mastercam X includes many converters as a standard feature, and you can purchase additional converters.

Once a system is received, Mastercam is installed and we run tests to insure the hardware platform and its individual components work without error. By eliminating the issue of incompatibility, both software and hardware vendors help reduce troubleshooting and resolution. If the system meets our approval, it is deemed “certified” and then listed on Dell's web page as a supported and recommended system from running Mastercam.
